There is no question about the meaning of jihad if one reads the Nobel Quran endorsed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhamad bin Humaid.  He was the Imam of the Grand Mosque of Mecca from 1908-1981 and the Chief Justice of Saudi Arabia.
A version of the Qur’an endorsed by Sheikh ‘Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Humaid, was being distributed from the Islamic Center of San Diego, California in the months after 9/11 as well as other mosques around America to this day.  It is most militant in its style and commentary. In a section entitled "The Call to Jihad" we read, "As it is now obvious, at first ‘the fighting’ was forbidden, then it was permitted and after that it was made obligatory – (1) against them who start ‘the fighting’ against you (Muslims)... (2) and against all those who worship others along with Allah... as mentioned in Sura 2, 3, 9... and other Sura (Chapters of the Quran). Allah made the fighting (Jihad) obligatory for the Muslims and gave importance to the subject-matter of Jihad in all the Sura which were revealed (at Al-Madinah) as in Allah’s Statement: ‘March forth whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), and strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah. This is better for you if you knew.’ (Sura 9:41) And He (Allah) said: ‘Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know."(Sura 2:216)

Eye of the Needle in the Quran

"Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Matt. 19:24)

Anyone familiar with the Bible has read this verse which appears in three of the gospels.  The Quran which is famous for taking things from the Bible and misapplying them for the sake of Islam puts a different spin on this camel illustration.  "Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle." (Surah 7:40)  Therefore us kafirs (unbelievers), rich or poor, do not have much chance of getting into Allah's little paradise unless we buy into Muhammad's wild religion.

Most English Qurans are translated in a similar fashion with the exception of the version translated by Muhammad Asad that CAIR distributes.  Theirs reads "...they shall not enter paradise any more than a twisted rope can pass through the eye of a needle."  This feeds the controversy in which some have claimed there was a so-called needle gate in Jerusalem that a loaded camel could not enter unless it was unloaded.  No such gate has ever been found.  Cyril of Alexandria claimed this was a translation error for the word camel which should have been translated rope or cable.  George Lamsa made the same claim in his translation of the bible.

Imam comes to school board meeting

The Imam of the Islamic Center of the Tri-Cities had to show up at the Prosser, Washington school board meeting 3/7/17 to complain about us making fun of Islam.  This is the nature of Islam wherever it shows up it eventually tries to censor speech critical of Muhammad's cult.  If you draw pictures of Muhammad you get threatened and as in the case of the draw Muhammad art competition in Garland, Texas they might even send a couple jihadis with guns to kill you.  In Garland however the police were quick on the draw and shot the Muslim gunmen before they could do much damage.  The Tri-Cities Muslim are not shy about their connection to CAIR.  Though the Imam has no children in the Prosser school district over 30 miles from his mosque he had to come and make his point because our criticism of Islam has become a pubic issue in the local news and on the internet.  He failed to mention that his Facebook page had videos critical of Christianity not long ago.

The plot thickens.  CAIR showed up at the Prosser school board 7/25/17 to present their plan for "Diversity Training".

We might remember the Dutch film director, Theo van Gogh, who was shot by a Muslim in 2004 for producing the film Submission.  His body was left with a knife stuck in his chest and note attached.  We might also remember it was a Tri-City Muslim that shot up the Jewish Center in Seattle in 2006.  Oh how quickly we forget.

Imam Elsehmawy who is from Egypt is apparently having a difficult time adjusting to this American free speech thing.  The question was, how long will it be before CAIR comes knocking?  Now we know.

Seattle Councilmember Kshama Sawant has a long history of leading protests using taxpayer money.  She is most outspoken against President Trump.

One might wonder how this Muslim relationship is going to shake out with Seattle's Mayor being openly gay.  He is married to Michael Shiosaki who works for Seattle Parks and Recreation.

Revert, Convert or Pervert

The Three Verts

When someone hears of a person becoming a Christian we usually think of the person being a convert.  In Islam the word revert is what is most often used.  So what is the difference and why do they use different terminology?  The difference is in how one is viewed in their pre-faith condition.  Both consider the pre-faith condition as being lost but in what way?  Based upon various biblical texts the Christian is understood to be born in a sinful state because of what we have inherited through the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden.  David writes in a psalm, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me" (Psalm 51:5).  In his letter to the Romans Paul wrote, "Therefore, just as one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because of sin" (Rom. 5:12) he earlier had written, "for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23).  For this reason Jesus said we must be born again.

The Muslim concept is quite different.  They do not believe that God's prophets, including Adam sinned nor did we inherit this problem.  They believe we are all born sinless and become sinners through false teaching and actions, therefore we must be reverted to our condition at birth.  That is done by faith in the God of Muhammad and by confession of his prophethood.    The Christian believes ones heart is changed by God at conversion, whereas the Muslim changes his own heart through a series of words accompanied by religious works.

Even if we could agree on the concept of God the Christian could never agree on the Muslim means by which one becomes righteous.  Apostle Paul explains "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Eph. 2:8&9).  The Muslim will often make claims of righteousness based on how much of the Quran he has memorized, by the prayer bump on their forehead from so much time on their prayer rug or how many times they have been to the Hajj in Mecca, etc.

Considering that Muhammad's religion was dreamed up over 500 years after Christ and rejects the Deity of Christ as well as the blood atonement we would consider it a perversion of the religion of Abraham rather than simply another expression of the faith.

The Quran goes to great length to boast the character of Muhammad.  Speaking of Muhammad in Surah 33:4 we read, "And indeed, you are of a great moral character".  Similar statements are in Surah 33:21.  But we have question about this moral character considering the fact that he married Aisha the daughter of Abu Bakr when she was only six years old and had sex with her at age nine.  Then after pillaging the Jewish village of Khaybar about hundred miles north of Medina he took a seventeen year old girl as another wife and named her Safiya which means "portion of the booty".  So once again we view Islam as a perversion of religious morality and Muhammad a pervert.

Three Amigos Unite

A Pastor, a Rabbi and a Imam go into a bar...wait, this is not a joke.

Pastor Don Mackenzie, Rabbi Ted Falcon and Imam Jamal Rahman (the Three Interfaith Amigos) make the rounds speaking at interfaith groups, usually of the liberal Unitarian mindset, in effort to convince the naive, that Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God and should be able to work together in harmony.  Using their co-authored book they are all smiles, however the topic is a sober one considering Muslims have been slaughtering Jews since the pillage of Khaybar in the days of Muhammad.  Then, banning all churches and synagogues from Arabia a few years after Muhammad's death the Muslims built a Mosque on the foundation of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem (7th century) as an act of dominance and superiority and in 1453 attacked Constantinople and turned the largest church in the world into a Mosque.  Well of course this sounds like one big happy family.

Then in our lifetime we see Muslims crucifying Christians in the Middle East, stabbing and shooting kafirs (non-Muslims) of all sects around the world.  These three deceivers are barking up a tall tree in effort to shake lose some low hanging fruit.

Does anyone seriously think Jesus would have prayed to a pagan shrine in Mecca?

The Bible warns in so many ways about the dangers of uniting with false prophets but Jude's is likely the most easily understood.  "Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.  For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ"(Jude 3&4).

You will find the three Amigos giving their presentation on TED talks.  Judging by the number of TED Youtube programs on Islam it appears TED has become a new platform for liberal pro-Muslim speakers.

TED which originally stood for Technology, Entertainment, and Design is a no-profit organization that produces videos shown online around the world.  Their slogan is "ideas worth spreading".  While there has been an abundance of worthwhile programs done by TED many of those done about Islam are nothing more than propaganda designed to neutralize critical thinking regarding Muhammad's cult.  The hijab is one of the most popular topics.  Articulate and often well educated women are chosen to give their emotional appeal about their head covering as though it is a glorious symbol of liberty when in fact in many Muslim countries it is nothing but a picture subjugation and bondage.
