Samantha Elauf sued Abercrombie and Fitch, a clothing store in Oklahoma who refused to allow her to wear a hijab on the job.
Malak Kazan of Dearborn, Michigan took the police to court because they made her remove her hijab while being booked for a traffic violation and driving with a suspended license.
It is likely that the purchase of a hijab will soon come with a business card of the local CAIR attorney.
So far the Columbus, Ohio Police have stood their ground banning the hijab for female officers for safety reasons as with neck ties which could be grabbed by an assailant and because it becomes a problem when wearing a gas mask.
